What would you say to us, child of the light?

Will you come to where we are, late in the night?

When you find our hangout, will you just stand and stare?

Can you see past black leather and spiked purple hair?

Your Pastor has told you certain phrases work well,

like "If you die tomorrow, are you going to Hell?"

If you say that we're evil, and all full of sin,

will that bring us to your Church steps, eager to get in?

If we do show up Sunday, what happens then?

Will we be warmly welcomed by tie-wearing men?

Will we hear in a sermon, "Thou shalt not smoke or drink!"?

(Will it sound like he really means "Thou shalt not think"?)

Will we hear of the evils of dancing and swearing,

and all that is wrong with the clothes we are wearing?

Will we hear how God's wrath burns against every sinner?

(Will us heathens be welcome at the big potluck dinner?)

If we don't measure up, we can count on a snub,

no, we don't think we're joining your Church/social club.

We wouldn't hear anything likely to please us,

(But we are sort of curious to hear more words of Jesus).

It seems we will stick with our lifestyle of sin,

where at least we're accepted, at least we fit in.

It's a shame that your Church was a drag and a bore,

since we really are hurting, with problems galore.

My best friend is lonely, and can't find a wife,

and last Sunday my girlfriend took her own life.

Others, I know, are not happy, just gay;

Can anyone point out The Truth and The Way?

We have faiths and philosophies by every name,

After a while, they all sound the same.

"Do whatever feels good, and don't worry about it!"

Since I don't feel too good, I'm begining to doubt it.

So we gather together on Saturday nights,

some men with women, and some men with men.

while God-fearing Church folk avoid us in droves.

If Jesus were living in this very year,

would He buck the system and visit us here?

Would He come down and join us, knowing what rules to bend,

would He come and sit with us, could we call Him our friend?

When He listened to us, would he look in our eyes?

Would He tell us His stories, so deep and so wise?

Well, He isn't here now, so who knows what He'd do?

Is there anyone like Him? Could it ever be you?

This is another equal-opportunity hate site. Webmaster Jon Watkins of Texas City TX cautions each "Satanist, Pagan, Witch, Vampire, Mason, Homosexual, member of the Klu Klux Klan or... weak Christian" to not study his site. This is probably a wise precaution, seeing we all want to bash the fucker.
Some examples of errors, bigotry and misinformation culled from "Jon's" web site are:

Pagan or Witchcraft deities are "idiot gods"

Ashtoreth (the moon goddess of the Phoenicians) and Baal (the senior deity of the Canaanites) are worshipped by Neopagans.

Christian Gnosticism and Shamanism are forms of Witchcraft.

A Wiccan's "Spirit Guide" instructs them to "bow to satan".

The devil meets with Witches and teaches them at Halloween time.

Two of the Wiccan Sabbats are the spring and fall solstics [sic].

Occult groups, including Wiccans, engage in animal sacrifice, human sacrifice, human dismemberment on St. Winebald day (JAN-7), St. Walpurgis Day (FEB-25), and at a festival called "Marriage to Satan" (SEP-7).

Wiccan symbols, such as the pentagram,(which is a sign of good) are used to conjure up evil spirits and demons.

God allows Satan to have control over homosexuals. "If you are Gay or lesbian, you are demonized and need to be freed." Presumably the method of choice would be an exorcism.

The web site lists a number of symptoms that might indicate that a person is involved in the Occult. They include:
an unusual interest in the Bible;
talking backwards;
very long fingernails;
eating raw meat;
an alter [sic] in the basement, room, ect [sic];
cruelty to innocent people or animals.

Oh my god! What a stupid, twisted fuck! Lol. I just want to shoot the guy, How bout you?

I have a few things to say to a few people, a few religious people. I am absolutely fed up with the ridiculous behavior of religious Christian fanatics.

1. Accept it, you are fanatics. You are obsessed. You are out of control. Get a grip on reality. You aren't perfect, so get of your damn high horse.

2. Churches should be sanctuaries... Not prisons. Faith should be the ultimate freedom... Not the ultimate trap

3. The Wiccan rede: And it harm none, do as ye will.

The wiccan rede is not Satan whispering in the ear of a pagan : "If it feels good do it." Don't be stupid.

"They believe every person has to decide for him or herself what is right or wrong for them, and that each person has the right to do whatever they see fit, so long as it doesn't directly infringe on the rights of another person. Take a step back buddy, and look at what youre saying. We support legalized drugs do we? Abortion eh? Oh yes! Of course we do! I go out and inject every night to please my god! Yeah, I'm so cool! I sleep around and then have abortions just because I think its right! (Note sarcasm)

Where the hell did you pull that from? Are you are saying that if you are pagan you think things like drugs, abortion, rape etc are acceptable? So you are saying we are all unruly, cruel, stupid, morale less people? Get a grip! How stupid and uniformed are you? Your just making yourself look stupid by saying the things you say. You have no idea what youre talking about, and it's a real laugh.

When I was a pagan, I had a hard time dealing with the Rede. I took it very seriously, as I did the belief in the interconnectedness of all existence, which says we are all part of the cosmic "One" (God if you will), and as such whatever we do will affect everyone else in the interconnected web of being. These two beliefs stood in direct opposition to one another as I saw it. For if everyone and everything are interconnected, how can you do anything you want without that affecting someone? I figured based on these premises, even flushing a toilet causes harm. There is nothing you do that does not adversely affect the cosmic machine. Because of this I became a vegetarian, until one day I realized that according to my understanding of the interconnected web of life, plants were just as much a vital part of the web as animals or humans, so to eat ANYTHING was the same as cannibalism! If we cannot eat animals because they have souls and are equal to humans, what can we eat? Since according to the same pagan beliefs, plants, rocks, etc., also have souls, all of nature is connected in this web of existence!

One thing to say to you: Religious fanatic. Now and then. 'pagan' or Christian, You are a religious fanatic. You take things too far.


4. I was a pagan once, now I am a Christian: I know everything
Now you claim you were once a pagan. I dont think so. Maybe you were a rebellious try hard. Please! Youve already shown everyone just how much you lack in knowledge on paganism. You are a religious fanatic. In paganism and Christianity, you take things to far. I dont even think I need to go into further detail on this.Sheesh.

I was looked down upon by many as not being a "REAL" Wiccan because I was self-taught. In fact, many Wiccans look down on the Wiccan book business, seeing it as selling out. They still believe that in order to be a real witch you must be accepted by a teacher (he/she must spot that you have certain inborn magical abilities), then you must be taught the rituals, beliefs, and magic by a trained priest or priestess, someone hand-chosen by the gods and goddesses they worship.

So who looked down on you? Was it the pagans? Gee, I wonder why. Take a look at how ridiculous you are and how you misinterpret the pagan religion. You must be stupid or something.

Some teachers said they look for someone who obviously comes from a genetic line where the talents of witchcraft have been genetically encoded, and handed down through the DNA for ages (or others look for some grand witch who has been reincarnated). Funny thing was, out of all the witches I knew, I never met a single one who did not claim to come from a strong lineage of witches, or one who didnt claim to have been a priestess in a past life.

Oh, do they now? Special DNA? A strong lineage of witches? Is that what we all claim is it? Is that what I claim? That I am so special and I'm what...joan of arc or something?
You must not get out very much. You know, into the real world. The one with people…who talk to each other and eat food… This isnt a sci-fi or fantasy story you know.


5.Pagans are all crazy are they? No they aren’t. YOU are.

Listen, we arent the ones who beilive in sin less people and virgin births. How stupid are you. Look, Im not even going to start. Oh and yes: the fact remains that there is no end to human gullibility when the ego is being tickled. Look at yourself lovey.

6. We aren’t the evil ones, you are.
Who burned and horrifically tortured hundreds upon thousdans of innocent, defenselss people? Who started the wars? What about the Nazi Holocaust during World War II? What about the number of Christians put to death by the Roman Catholic Church?
It was Christians. Not Pagans. It was you. We dont cause pain or kill things on purpose, You do! Check your facts.

7. We do not worship the devil.
The devil is part of your religion. As is jesus. They aren't in our religion, so we don't worship them. End of story.

Take a minute to read it...

"Young man, you're not welcome here!" Those words echoed in Jeremy's head as he ran down the street. "I hate those stupid Christians. Anti-Christ Rules!"
Jeremy's life had become a living hell. It seemed as if God were to ruin everything that he loved. At the ripe old age of 14, he felt defeated and hopeless. Everybody made fun of his black clothes, dark eyeliner and lipstick, and gothic music. He was an only child living with his mom since his parents split up 6 years before. But she was too busy with her own messed-up life!
Everywhere Jeremy went, people stared and laughed at him. His dreary life had become a sad, hopeless existence. Nobody took the chance to even talk to him. Mr. Bailey, one of his teachers, pulled him aside and said, "You would probably have some friends if you didn't dress so weird." Mr. Bailey always had a way of pushing his buttons.
He wanted to run home and tell his mom, but he knew she wouldn't be there anyway. As he began searching through his back pack, he pulled out a Bible that he always liked to read when his feelings got hurt. He turned to the book of John and began to read about Jesus and his disciples. As he cried softly he thought, "I bet Jesus would have been my friend."
Jeremy woke up early that morning and walked into a church a couple blocks away from his home. He was excited about going to church for the first time. "Finally, someone will understand me!". As he took his first step into the church, he smiled at the usher and said "Hi". The usher looked at him coldly and then ignored him.
Jeremy walked with his head down as he slid into the center of the back row. As the Pastor walked around greeting old and new members of the congregation, he stopped when he reached the last row. As he glanced at Jeremy, he turned his head and walked back toward the pulpit. As the place filled with people, Jeremy sat all alone in the last pew. He turned and saw four people standing in the back looking at him coldly as the Pastor delivered his fiery sermon on proper Christian appearance.
Jeremy stood up and left the church. He swore he would never be back.
"Why can't I just be liked for who I am?" Jeremy ran faster. As he remembered those self righteous bible bigots, he began sobbing uncontrollably. "I hate them! I hate them!"
He stopped and crawled underneath a bridge where he had spent a lot of time thinking. It was dark and gloomy, but strangely comfortable. It reflected what he felt inside. It was, in some strange way, a place to hide from those "loving christians".
Jeremy was crying out in the same way we have cried out when nobody listened. Have you felt judged? Have you felt misunderstood? Have you felt alone? I think we all have. We need to stop acting like Christians and start acting like Christ!! Christ not only accepted these kinds of people, but he looked for them. He was excited that he had the directions to life as they went down the road to death. What was it that Jesus had? Love and acceptance. He was God and knew what it felt like to be rejected.
You know, I find myself in the middle of another counterculture. I realize that the same things I wrote about the "Metalheads" of yesterday are still true today. But one very sobering detail pierces my heart. Many of the same people that were crying for someone to understand them just 10 years ago, are turning their backs on the "Jeremy's" of the world today.
Many of you who were preaching unconditional love without condemnation and judgement, are guilty of hypocrisy today! You forget what it is like to reach out to someone on the edge that feel alone and confused. Don't forget that you use to be one of them!
Jeremy will continue to blame God instead of the people who are mistreating him. He will continue to follow Marilyn Manson and things like that who have the same venom. He will hate, and be hated. He will die in that pit - without a life line.
